Gods Light Fire Ring

Girl Scout Gold Award Project
by Jessica Christensen
2014

The Girl Scout Gold Award represents the highest achievement in Girl Scouting. Open only to girls in high school, this prestigious award challenges you to change the world—or at least your corner of it.

The Girl Scout Gold Award has inspired girls to become leaders, and share their ideas and passions with their communities.

Girl Scout Gold Award recipients are part of an elite group of women who embody community leadership leaving behind a sustainable legacy.

Work Day 1:  Clearing the area and building the Wood Rack.
Firewood had been donated to the Girl Scouts and church.  This wood was stored where the Fire Ring was to be built.
First we leveled an area for the wood rack.  Then we put the wood rack together and moved all the wood to the wood rack.
Next we cleared weeds, vines, lots of leaves.

Work Day 2: Building the Benches and Fire Ring.
